How to Point Your Domain to Contrivex (Updating Nameservers)

To take your website live on our managed hosting, you need to point your domain name to our secure servers.

This is done by updating your Nameservers at the company where you bought your domain (your “Registrar”).

The Information You Need #

Please replace your current nameservers with the following two records. Ensure you delete any old records so only these two remain.

Nameserver 1: laylah.ns.cloudflare.com

Nameserver 2: milan.ns.cloudflare.com

Step-by-Step Instructions #

While every domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google, etc.) looks slightly different, the process is generally the same:

1. Log in to your Domain Registrar Go to the website where you purchased your domain name (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Bluehost).

2. Find your DNS Settings Look for a menu option labeled DNS, DNS Management, or Nameservers. This is usually found next to your domain name in your dashboard.

3. Change to “Custom Nameservers” Most registrars default to “Default” or “Basic” nameservers. You need to select Custom (or “Use My Own Nameservers”).

4. Enter the Contrivex Records Copy and paste the two lines listed above (laylah… and milan…) into the fields provided.

  • Note: If there are other nameservers currently listed there, delete them. You should only have our two listed.

5. Save Changes Click Save or Update
